Her office experience includes seven years as a school registrar for Pacific Northwest Ballet. Jan moved to Duvall in 1997 and has done volunteer work with the arts community, particularly Arts Onstage and Summerstage. She served as Vice President of the Duvall Arts Commission and Treasurer of the Cascade Performing Arts Council. Jan and Lance Weekes and Cherry Valley Veterinary Hospital continue to be active supporters of local art, community, and canine events.
August, Veterinary Assistant
August has worked in the veterinary field for seven years. She first started at Cherry Valley in 2016 in the pet care position and is now our lead staff member. She has graduated from Pima Medical Institute and is currently attending Penn Foster for her technician’s license. August leads our team with her skills and her unwavering positive attitude. When not at work, August enjoys hiking, kayaking, camping, and spending time with her cats, Callie and Casper. August also is enjoying becoming a first-time gardener.
Ashleigh, Veterinary Assistant
Ashleigh joined Cherry Valley in 2022, starting in pet care. She has enthusiastically taken on new responsibilities in both office and medical positions. She is currently enrolled in Penn Foster for a veterinary technician degree. Ashleigh brings compassion and a high energy level to the patients she cares for. Her favorite jobs at Cherry Valley are hematology, assisting in procedures, and trimming overgrown nails; the longer, the better! Ashleigh enjoys the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and spending time with her dogs, Tank and Lady, and her cat Bentley. All of her pets enjoy it when Ashleigh is at home baking.
Alysha, Veterinary Assistant
Alysha rejoined our team April of 2024. She had previously worked with us for several years before moving to Texas and expanding her skillset by working in emergency veterinary medicine. Alysha has now worked in the veterinary field for 6 years and loves every minute of it. Although she enjoyed the excitement of emergency medicine, she is happy to be back in Washington and at Cherry Valley.
Outside of work, Alysha enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, camping, and reading. She also loves to spend time with her family, two dogs, and cat.
