Meet Our Veterinary Team
Meet the Veterinarians & Team of Cherry Valley Veterinary Hospital. We’re pleased to provide exceptional vet care for your pets!

Dr. Rachel Kwak
Dr. Rachel Kwak is a dedicated veterinarian with 6 years of experience. Before pursuing veterinary medicine, she worked in research. She went on to earn her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Ross University in 2019 and has a professional interest in preventative care, dentistry, and building strong client relationships through clear communication. Originally from Maryland, Dr. Kwak recently relocated to the Pacific Northwest and is loving life in her new home. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, building legos, and playing video games. She shares her home with her golden/shepherd mix named Ranger, two cats named Little Cat and Orange Cat, as well as 2 budgies named Margarita Marge and Dusty Pigeon.
Dr. Kristin Lane
Dr. Kristin Lane graduated from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. After graduation, she completed two veterinary internships. The first was a rotating medicine/surgery internship that allowed her to receive additional training in multiple veterinary specialties and the second was an Internal Medicine internship. Dr. Lane strongly believes in the power and mutual benefits of the human-animal bond. As a small animal veterinarian, her goal is to empower owners and to provide their pets with the best care possible. When not at work, she likes to spend time with my family (two and four-legged), explore the PNW, garden, and read.
August, Veterinary Assistant
August has worked in the veterinary field for seven years. She first started at Cherry Valley in 2016 in the pet care position and is now our lead staff member. She has graduated from Pima Medical Institute and is currently attending Penn Foster for her technician’s license. August leads our team with her skills and her unwavering positive attitude. When not at work, August enjoys hiking, kayaking, camping, and spending time with her cats, Callie and Casper. August also is enjoying becoming a first-time gardener.
Ashleigh, Veterinary Assistant
Ashleigh joined Cherry Valley in 2022, starting in pet care. She has enthusiastically taken on new responsibilities in both office and medical positions. She is currently enrolled in Penn Foster for a veterinary technician degree. Ashleigh brings compassion and a high energy level to the patients she cares for. Her favorite jobs at Cherry Valley are hematology, assisting in procedures, and trimming overgrown nails; the longer, the better! Ashleigh enjoys the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and spending time with her dogs, Tank and Lady, and her cat Bentley. All of her pets enjoy it when Ashleigh is at home baking.
Alysha, Veterinary Assistant
Alysha rejoined our team April of 2024. She had previously worked with us for several years before moving to Texas and expanding her skillset by working in emergency veterinary medicine. Alysha has now worked in the veterinary field for 6 years and loves every minute of it. Although she enjoyed the excitement of emergency medicine, she is happy to be back in Washington and at Cherry Valley.
Outside of work, Alysha enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, camping, and reading. She also loves to spend time with her family, two dogs, and cat.
